These Terms & Conditions govern all applications, bookings,
payments, and stays offered under The Curious Nomad House.
1. What is being sold
The Curious Nomad House offers accommodation spots for hosted stays
on specific dates and for a specific duration selected at the time
of booking.
Unless expressly confirmed otherwise in writing, the booking covers
accommodation only. Flights, airport transfers, local transport,
meals, surf lessons, yoga classes, excursions, cultural outings,
boat trips, ATV rides, horseback rides, wellness services, and any
other activities or experiences are not included in the
accommodation booking unless clearly stated in writing at the time
of purchase.
Any activities, experiences, or local recommendations mentioned on
the website, in social media, or in direct communication are
illustrative and optional in nature.
2. Application and acceptance
Submitting an application does not guarantee a spot.
All bookings are subject to review, availability, and written
confirmation by The Curious Nomad House. A place is only secured
once the application has been accepted and the required payment has
been successfully received.
We reserve the right to accept or decline applications at our
discretion.
3. Payment terms
To secure a booking, the guest must pay 50% of the total
accommodation price at the time of booking.
This first payment is a non-refundable booking deposit in the event
of guest cancellation.
The remaining 50% balance must be paid no later than 30 days before
the scheduled arrival date.
If a booking is made within 30 days of arrival, the full amount may
be due immediately.
If the remaining balance is not paid on time, The Curious Nomad
House may cancel the booking and retain the non-refundable deposit.
4. Cancellation by the guest
If the guest cancels the booking for any reason, the initial 50%
booking deposit is non-refundable.
If the guest cancels within 30 days of arrival, or after the final
balance has been paid, all amounts paid are non-refundable.
No refunds will be issued for late arrival, early departure,
no-show, missed travel, unused nights, or any unused part of the
stay.
Because the booking concerns accommodation for specific dates or a
specific period, the statutory 14-day withdrawal right does not
apply.
5. Changes requested by the guest
Any request to change dates, stay length, guest details, or booking
details is subject to availability and may be refused.
If a requested change is accepted, a new price or new payment
schedule may apply.
Administrative fees may be charged where appropriate.
6. Accommodation provider failure and alternative arrangements
The Curious Nomad House may rely on independent third-party
accommodation providers for the availability and delivery of the
booked accommodation.
While we take reasonable steps to confirm and secure the
accommodation offered, circumstances outside our direct control may
affect the stay, including but not limited to provider cancellation,
double-booking, overbooking, operational failure, material
misrepresentation of availability, fraud, insolvency, force
majeure, or other provider-side default.
If, despite our reasonable efforts, the booked accommodation becomes
unavailable for reasons outside our direct control, The Curious
Nomad House may, at its discretion:
-
provide a comparable replacement accommodation, subject to
availability, or
-
refund the amounts actually paid to us for the affected unused
accommodation booking.
Except where mandatory law provides otherwise, our liability in such
circumstances is limited to the amounts actually paid directly to us
for the affected accommodation booking.
We are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses,
including flights, transfers, missed connections, loss of enjoyment,
loss of income, third-party bookings, or other costs not paid
directly to us.
7. Third-party activities and services
Unless expressly sold by us in writing as part of the accommodation
booking, all activities and local services are provided by
independent third parties under separate terms and separate
contractual responsibility.
This includes, without limitation, surf lessons, yoga sessions,
excursions, cultural activities, meals, transport, boat trips, ATV
rides, horseback rides, wellness services, and any other optional
local experience.
Where we share recommendations, introductions, contacts, schedules,
or informal help in arranging such services, this does not make The
Curious Nomad House the organiser, operator, seller, or contracting
party of those services.
The guest contracts directly with the relevant third-party provider
and accepts that provider’s own terms, liability rules, safety
standards, cancellations, and operating conditions.
8. No package travel or combined travel service unless expressly stated
The Curious Nomad House sells accommodation-first hosted stays.
Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, the booking is not
sold as a package travel product, all-inclusive trip, or combined
travel service, and optional third-party activities do not form part
of the accommodation contract.
9. Guest responsibility
Guests are responsible for ensuring that the stay and any optional
activities are suitable for them.
This includes responsibility for travel documents, passports, visas,
medical needs, fitness, vaccinations, personal belongings, and
personal safety.
Guests join optional activities and local travel arrangements at
their own risk.
Comprehensive travel insurance, including cancellation cover,
medical cover, and personal liability cover, is strongly
recommended.
10. House rules and conduct
The Curious Nomad House is a small, curated shared-living
experience.
Guests are expected to behave respectfully toward the property,
hosts, staff, local partners, neighbours, and other guests.
We reserve the right to refuse participation, remove a guest from
the stay, or terminate a booking without refund where behaviour is
unsafe, abusive, illegal, disruptive, repeatedly disrespectful, or
materially harmful to the atmosphere, property, hosts, or group
dynamic.
11. Images, descriptions, and atmosphere
All photos, descriptions, references to atmosphere, community,
energy, local experiences, and lifestyle are illustrative in
nature.
The actual experience may vary depending on season, weather, group
composition, provider availability, local conditions, and other
practical circumstances.
Nothing on the website should be understood as a guarantee of any
specific group dynamic, activity, weather condition, social outcome,
or emotional experience.
12. Force majeure
The Curious Nomad House is not liable for delay, cancellation,
change, or inability to perform caused by circumstances beyond its
reasonable control.
These may include extreme weather, fire, flood, earthquake,
epidemic, pandemic, government action, border restrictions, civil
unrest, war, labour disruption, utility failure, transport
disruption, or other extraordinary events.
Where such circumstances materially affect the stay, we may cancel,
postpone, shorten, reschedule, or modify the stay as reasonably
necessary.
Any refund, credit, replacement, or other remedy offered in such
circumstances shall be determined reasonably and in accordance with
mandatory law.
13. Complaints
Any issue relating to the accommodation must be reported promptly
during the stay so that a reasonable opportunity can be given to
address it.
Complaints raised only after departure may affect the possibility of
any remedy.
14. Data and communication
By applying or booking, the guest agrees that The Curious Nomad
House may use the guest’s contact details and booking information
for the purpose of processing the application, managing the stay,
sending booking-related communications, and providing essential
pre-arrival information.
Marketing communication will only be sent where the guest has
separately agreed to receive it.
15. Governing law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Estonia.
Any mandatory rights available to consumers under applicable law
remain unaffected.
